FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas associate head coach David Patrick will serve as an assistant coach for the Australian men’s national team in the Olympic Games in Tokyo scheduled later this year.
A native of Melbourne, Australia, Patrick was on the team’s coaching staff for the FIBA Basketball Word Cup in 2019 when it reached the semifinals and qualified for the Olympics. Australia’s head coach is Brian Goorjian, who led the team during the Olympics in 2004 and 2008. He returned as head coach in November.
“I am honored to once again serve with the Australian National team,” Patrick said in a news release.
