FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas second-year right hander Peyton Pallette has moved into the No. 1 role for the Razorbacks’ series against Murray State.
Pallette, who has struck out 16 and has not allowed a run through 9 1/3 innings this season, is scheduled to start Friday’s game that begins at 3 p.m. Right hander Caleb Bolden will start Saturday and left hander Lael Lockhart will start Sunday, his third consecutive Game 3 start of the weekend.
Pallette replaces Zebulon Vermillion as the Game 1 starter for the top-ranked Razorbacks (7-0). Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said earlier this week that Vermillion might move back to the bullpen after struggling with command in his first two outings.
