FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas catcher Casey Opitz was named the SEC's co-player of the week Monday.
Opitz went 5 for 14 and had 4 RBI during the Razorbacks' games against Oklahoma and Alabama last week. He also drew a walk at the plate, and defensively he threw out a base runner during the loss to Oklahoma.
Opitz recorded at least one hit during all three of Arkansas' games against Alabama, including a season-high three hits and his first home run of the season Saturday.
