The headline of the offseason for Arkansas football was whether head coach Sam Pittman’s numerous staff changes could engineer a turnaround for the program entering a make or break year in 2024.
While the Razorbacks’ performance against LSU was well below par and you can certainly make the case that close losses against Oklahoma State and Texas A&M were avoidable, it’s indisputable that the team has leveled up this year. 2023 Arkansas would have stood no chance against No. 4 Tennessee, for instance, and likely wouldn’t have bowed up for a gritty road win against Auburn.
And yet, Pittman has held things together well so far.
