As expected, the SEC undisputed champion, #1-ranked-for-pretty-much-the-entire-season Arkansas Razorbacks have been awarded the #1 overall seed in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
This is the first time since 1999, when national seeds were first awarded, that the Hogs have held the #1 position. Their previous high seed was #5, in 2018 and 2019.
National seeds, the top eight positions in the tournament, grant teams home-field advantage in the regionals and, if they advance, the super regionals. Which is to say, Arkansas will play at home in Baum-Walker Stadium the rest of the way until (please, please, for-the-love-of-God, please) Omaha, Nebraska.
