FAYETTEVILLE — Two games into what is expected to be a challenging conference campaign, the Arkansas basketball team is winless in the SEC.
On a frigid night outside, the Razorbacks went cold for an extended stretch late in the first half inside Bud Walton Arena on Wednesday. That allowed 23rd-ranked Ole Miss a chance to rally from an early deficit, paving the way toward the Rebels’ 73-66 victory.
First-year Arkansas coach John Calipari fell to 0-2 in SEC play for the first time in 16 seasons coaching in the league. The Razorbacks (11-4) are Calipari’s first team to start conference play 0-2 since Memphis lost at Southern Miss and DePaul to open its Conference USA schedule in 2003-04.
