FAYETTEVILLE — A chorus of boos rang down from the Bud Walton Arena as Oklahoma players celebrated and waved goodbye.
The Arkansas men’s basketball team called a timeout 12.7 seconds, trailing 63-62 and with the chance to get the final shot Saturday.
D.J. Wagner inbounded to Zvonimir Ivisic, who found Nelly Davis cutting alongside the baseline. That had gone to plan, but the shot look wasn’t what the Razorbacks wanted.
Davis, potentially through uncalled contact, threw up a shot that skimmed the backboard.
The hope?
“Back door [cut],” Arkansas coach John Calipari said, “and either you have it or there’s going to be a man in the corner.
