It was an SEC Basketball Fever special between two teams struggling this season and in this one Texas A&M avenged an earlier loss to the Hogs by beating Arkansas 87-80 in Bud Walton Arena. The Hogs’ sixth loss in Bud Walton this season. Despite solid games from Daniel Gafford and Isaiah Joe, the Hogs trailed the entire second half, and while they were close for the majority, they didn’t get over that hump.
The Hogs got off to a quick 5-0 start and led for the majority of the first half. Led by a balanced scoring effort, the Hogs got a bucket from eight different players in the first 15 minutes and the Hogs had a 28-23 lead.
