FAYETTEVILLE — A pair of Arkansas players landed on preseason All-SEC teams selected by the league’s coaches, it was announced Tuesday.
JD Notae, a 6-2 senior guard, was named to the first team, and sophomore Davonte Davis received a second-team nod.
The Razorbacks’ top two returning scorers are the first Arkansas tandem to be selected to the preseason coaches team since Jaylen Barford and Daryl Macon in 2018-19.
No predicted order of finish was made.
Notae averaged 12.8 points on 38.2% shooting and was named SEC Sixth Man of the Year in 2020-21. He also led Arkansas last season in steals (46) and finished seventh in the conference in free throws made (92).
