FAYETTEVILLE — Ahead of a showdown at No. 2 Texas A&M, the Arkansas softball team got a rare in-season break.
After sweeping a doubleheader with 5-inning run rule victories over Colorado State last Friday, the series finale was canceled due to rain in the forecast. The result was a weeklong pause for the ninth-ranked Razorbacks (34-9, 10-8 SEC) before their next scheduled game.
Some players capitalized on the unusual scheduling around Easter weekend.
“I think it was a unique opportunity to kind of just take a breath and take a couple days off,” Arkansas coach Courtney Deifel said.
