No. 6 South Carolina pulled away from the Arkansas women’s basketball team in the second half and drubbed the Razorbacks 95-55 on Thursday at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, S.C.
The Gamecocks (24-3, 12-1 SEC) blew the game open with a 16-0 run in the third quarter after Arkansas had pulled within 46-33. They never trailed and led by as many as 42.
The Razorbacks (9-19, 2-11) have now suffered three losses of 40 or more points, joining a 101-52 loss at No. 3 UCLA and 101-60 loss at Vanderbilt.
“We played well, and then obviously they're a second-half team,” Arkansas coach Mike Neighbors said on the Razorback Sports Network postgame radio show.
