Fifth-ranked Texas punished the Arkansas women’s basketball team on the boards and in the paint during a 90-56 victory Sunday at Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
The Longhorns (15-1, 2-0 SEC) dominated the glass with 25 offensive rebounds for 28 second-chance points, and scored 52 points in the paint. They also forced the Razorbacks into 25 turnovers that were converted 32 points.
“We've said it ad nauseam for years that those are the two that get you,” Arkansas coach Mike Neighbors said of giving offensive rebounds and committing turnovers. “And when they're doubled up and combined, that's why the score gets away from you at the end.
