FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas softball continued its dominant march through nonconference play Saturday night at Bogle Park.
The 12th-ranked Razorbacks (18-1) defeated Illinois 10-1 in 6 innings, notching their 14th run-rule win victory this season. The win capped a doubleheader sweep for Arkansas, which also defeated Iowa 12-0 in 5 innings.
“I thought the day was really complete,” Arkansas coach Courtney Deifel said.
Illinois (9-8) gave up 7 runs over the final 2 innings, capped by a walk-off, 3-run homer by Arkansas freshman pinch hitter Jayden Ramos. It was her first career home run and came in front of an announced crowd of 2,881.
