FAYETTEVILLE — Nine former Arkansas players will be inducted into the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame in November.
The inductees are former football players Bill Burnett, Ken Hatfield, Billy Ray Smith Jr., Chuck Dicus, Wayne Harris and Wayne Martin; basketball players Todd Day and Bettye Fiscus; and track athlete Niall O'Shaughnessy.
Hatfield was also the Razorbacks' football coach from 1984-89 and won consecutive SWC championships in his final two seasons at Arkansas.
All will be inducted during a luncheon at the Little Rock Touchdown Club on Nov. 9. Through a partnership with the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame, they are the second large class of Razorbacks to be inducted in an effort to add more Arkansas athletes and coaches into the SWC Hall of Fame.
