FAYETTEVILLE — Bret Bielema likes to quickly steer any conversation about Arkansas' perception as a run-heavy offense to his preferred description of "balanced."
Despite a blowout win over UTEP to open the season, one in which quarterback Brandon Allen threw for a career-high 308 yards, Bielema isn't quite ready to call the 18th-ranked Razorbacks (1-0) a passing powerhouse.
The Arkansas coach is, however, enjoying a full complement of offensive options for the first time in his three seasons in Fayetteville. And those options were on full display in the 48-13 win over the Miners, in which Allen had 256 yards passing by halftime on his way to eclipsing the 300-yard mark for the first time in his career.
