After getting to play just 16 games last season before the covid-19 pandemic shut down college baseball, Murray State coach Dan Skirka is thrilled his program has played eight games in the last two weeks.
Even though No. 1 Arkansas (10-0) completed a sweep of the Racers with a 6-0 victory Sunday, Skirka knows his team battled the Razorbacks tough in 7-6 and 11-6 losses the previous two days.
“It is just great to be out playing games consistently after being off and on the field since January,” said Skirka, whose team’s first four scheduled games this season were postponed due to weather.
