FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas receivers coach Michael Smith made another trip to the emergency room Tuesday.
His daughter Kylie, a UA softball player, was having her appendix taken out.
Smith knows his way around the hospital these days after a rash of injuries that required surgery knocked out three of his top position players -- Keon Hatcher, Cody Hollister and Jared Cornelius -- for multiple weeks. Another receiver, Eric Hawkins, left the Toledo game after getting hit hard on a kick return late in the 16-12 loss and missed the Texas Tech game.
Smith said he's never seen a run of injuries to a position group like this.
