FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas guard Moses Moody received the first honor of his college career on Monday.
The Little Rock native was named SEC freshman of the week after averaging 21 points and 8.5 rebounds in the Razorbacks’ wins over Texas-Arlington and Lipscomb last week. He scored a career-high 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds against the Mavericks.
On Dec. 2 against UT-Arlington, Moody became the first Arkansas freshman to finish with at least 24 points and nine rebounds in a game since Bobby Portis in 2014.
“It is what it is,” Moody said Saturday when asked about putting together solid back-to-back performances.
