FAYETTEVILLE — Mississippi State felt great about itself offensively after scoring 95 points in a home victory over Iowa State on Saturday.
The Bulldogs left Bud Walton Arena on Tuesday night feeling just offensive about how they played.
Arkansas used its “rushing the quarterback” defense to hound Mississippi State into 26 turnovers — the most in an SEC game this year — and 30.6% field goal shooting as the Razorbacks downed the Bulldogs 61-45.
Mississippi State coach Ben Howland was mystified how his team didn’t handle a double team on the ball handler from Arkansas (14-5, 6-4 SEC), which has won its last four SEC games and is fifth in the league standings.
