Mississippi State takes advantage of Arkansas tendencies

FAYETTEVILLE — In a game including two teams that had combined to lose their last nine games, Mississippi State was the one that got well Saturday.

The Bulldogs rolled up 640 yards total offense and 460 yards rushing - both SEC game highs for the program - while drilling the Razorbacks 54-24.

Kylin Hill, the SEC’s leading rusher, rushed for 234 of those yards, including 62 on his first carry.

Mississippi State (4-5, 2-4 SEC) limited Arkansas (2-7, 0-6) to just 285 yards total offense.

“Very excited to get the win today on the road,” Mississippi State coach Joe Moorhead said.
