Mississippi State beats Arkansas 51-50

FAYETTEVILLE — Beniquez Brown blocked a short field goal attempt with 39 seconds remaining and Mississippi State held on for a 51-50 win at Arkansas on Saturday.

Dak Prescott threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Fred Ross with 3:05 remaining to give the Bulldogs the lead in a wild game that included four lead changes after halftime.

Arkansas had taken a 50-44 lead on a 10-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Allen to Jeremy Sprinkle and a two-point conversion with 5:33 to play.

The Razorbacks (6-5, 4-3 SEC) advanced to the Mississippi State 11 in the final minute, but Cole Hedlund's field goal attempt was blocked, allowing the Bulldogs to run out the clock.
