Long before earning a scholarship offer from Arkansas last Thursday, Cabot athlete Jarrod Barnes played Pee Wee football for the Jacksonville based Mighty Vikings.
North Little Rock receiver Tobias Enlow, who plans to be a preferred walk-on at Arkansas, also played for the Mighty Vikings.
Barnes, 5-11, 173, 4.52 seconds in the 40-yards dash, played quarterback and rushed 111 times for 1,090 yards and 17 touchdowns this past season. He would likely play cornerback or slot receiver in Fayetteville should he become a Hog.
“Tobias is going there so that would be nice,” Barnes said. “We could play together again.
