OMAHA, Neb. — Arkansas will play Miami in an elimination game Monday after the Hurricanes lost to Florida 15-3 Saturday night at TD Ameritrade Park.
The Gators used an 11-run fourth inning in which it sent 16 batters to the plate to cruise to an easy victory at the College World Series. It was the most runs scored in an inning in TD Ameritrade Park history.
Miami starter Andrew Suarez gave up seven runs - four earned - on six hits in 3 1/3 innings of work to earn the loss. After he left the game, the Hurricanes used seven relievers, but none threw more than 19 pitches.
