Mentor and mentees meet in Memphis - Arkansas vs Kansas State in Liberty Bowl

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas will spend New Year’s in Memphis.

The Arkansas football team was announced as a participant in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee, on January 2. The Razorbacks, 7-5 finishers in the regular season will play 6-6 Kansas State from the Big XII. January 2 is a Saturday. Kickoff will be a 2:20 p.m.

Arkansas has played Kansas State in a bowl game before – Arkansas beat the Wildcats in the 2012 Cotton Bowl, 29-16.

Razorbacks coach Bret Bielema, too, has a history with Kansas State. He spent two seasons under coach Bill Snyder in Manhattan, Kansas, as the team’s co-defensive coordinator in 2002 and 2003.
