Martrell Spaight was an in-state recruit from North Little Rock that started his football career at Coffeyville Community College before transferring to Arkansas. Spaight was a 3 star recruit who initially committed to Southern Arkansas with his brother Mark, but Martrell instead enrolled at Coffeyville where he made a huge impact immediately.
Initially committed to Kansas State in 2012, he flipped to Arkansas shortly after Bret Bielema stabilized the Hogs' coaching situation and signed with the Razorbacks a couple of weeks after Bielema took the job.
