Fred Marshall was a member of the six-man 2016 Cotton Bowl Hall of Fame induction class Friday.
The former Arkansas quarterback is the third player from the Razorbacks' 1964 national championship team to be elected to the hall, joining defensive tackles Loyd Phillips and Jim Williams.
Marshall led Arkansas on an 80-yard game-winning touchdown drive in the fourth quarter of the 1965 Cotton Bowl, helping the Razorbacks beat Nebraska 10-7 and cap a perfect 1964 season.
Frank Broyles, who coached the 1964 team and was 2-2 all-time in the Cotton Bowl, is also in the game's hall of fame, as well as former Arkansas halfback Lance Alworth.
