Lunardi Already Has Idea of How Bama Loss Affects Hogs’ NCAA Tournament Hopes

FAYETTEVILLE — A furious second-half rally by Arkansas came up just short Saturday night.

Despite trailing by 18 with a little more than six minutes remaining, the Razorbacks actually made it a one-possession game and had the ball in the closing seconds. They failed to convert on the opportunity, though, and fell 85-81 to No. 3 Alabama inside a raucous Bud Walton Arena.

It was a three-point margin when John Calipari used his final timeout to draw up a play with 7.3 seconds left, but Arkansas never got a shot off. Inbounding from the sideline, Billy Richmond III got the ball to Johnell Davis, who then swung it to Zvonimir Ivisic.
