FAYETTEVILLE — The Golden Boot was the first of two trophies LSU collected Saturday.
Hours after defeating Arkansas 13-10 at Reynolds Razorback Stadium, the seventh-ranked Tigers clinched the SEC West championship when Alabama defeated Ole Miss 30-24.
LSU (8-2, 6-1 SEC) can only be tied in the western division standings and holds tiebreakers over Alabama and Ole Miss.
The Tigers will play the SEC East champion at the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta on Dec. 3. Top-ranked Georgia can clinch the eastern division championship with a victory at Mississippi State on Saturday.
LSU will play in the SEC Championship Game for the seventh time and for the first time since 2019.
