FAYETTEVILLE — Louisiana Tech starting quarterback Ryan Higgins was arrested early Friday in Ruston, La., and charged with DWI and speeding.
Higgins failed a field sobriety test and tested for a blood-alcohol content of .119, according to the The News-Star of Monroe, La. Higgins, 22, had a bond amount of $1,750.
“We are aware of the situation involving Ryan Higgins,” Louisiana Tech Coach Skip Holtz said in a statement. “We won’t make any decisions or any further comments until we have had an opportunity to gather all of the information and talk to all of the parties involved.
