Arkansas and Ole Miss are scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m. at Swayze Field.
This game is being played 4 1/2 hours ahead of schedule because of storms that will blow through Oxford later tonight. The weather may also impact tomorrow's scheduled game at 1:30 p.m.
Today's game will feature a pair of the league's top left-handed pitchers, Arkansas' Zach Root and Ole Miss' Hunter Elliott. Root will be starting Game 1 of a series for the first time with the Razorbacks after swapping weekend positions with right-hander Gabe Gaeckle.
This is the SEC opener for both teams.
