War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock — which hosts one Arkansas football game per year — is set to get an upgrade after receiving a $1.1 million grant from a state council.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that the grant is for conservation and historic preservation, and will be used to upgrade the stadium’s scoreboard and two video boards.
Arkansas is contracted to continue to play a game in Little Rock for the 2017 and ’18 seasons. The Hogs open this season against Florida A&M in Little Rock, while the 2018 game is to be determined.
