Late mistake costs Arkansas at LSU in two-point loss

A late turnover and LSU’s response snapped Arkansas’ three-game winning streak.

Anthlon Bell had the ball stolen by Antonio Blakney with 30 seconds left and Craig Victor scored on a putback with 4.2 seconds left to break a 74-all tie and Anton Beard’s last-ditch 3-pointer missed as the Tigers moved into sole possession of second-place in the Southeastern Conference.

Arkansas (9-8, 3-2) had tied just seconds before the turnover when Beard went directly at LSU freshman Ben Simmons, made a lay-up and drew a foul. Beard missed the ensuing free throw and the rebound went off Simmons under the hoop.
