The 6-foot, 200-pound senior from Sugar Land, Texas, Kevin Kopps put together one of the most impressive pitching campaigns in college baseball history in 2021.
With statistics that rivaled a starting pitcher, Arkansas’ closer was more than just that. He was THE staff’s golden boy and almost singlehandedly pitched Arkansas into the College World Series.
On Friday, Kopps was presented the Dick Howser Trophy which is rewarded each season to the top amateur baseball player in the country.
Kopps becomes the second Razorback to receive the Dick Howser Trophy joining current Kansas City Royals standout Andrew Benintendi in 2015.
