As a former University of Illinois All-American and New York Yankees pitcher, current Eastern Illinois head coach Jason Anderson has faced some big-time baseball players in his lifetime.
He thinks he sees another one in Arkansas right fielder Heston Kjerstad. The Hogs' junior preseason All-American lit up the Panthers to the tune of a .583 batting average with 4 homers and 10 RBIs in the Razorbacks’ three-game sweep at Baum-Walker Stadium this weekend.
Kjerstad (6-3, 205) was 3-of-5 with six RBIs on Sunday as Arkansas (3-0) completed the sweep on Sunday with a 12-3 blasting of Eastern Illinois before 5,694 fans.
