FAYETTEVILLE — Following a win Saturday, Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury wasn't shy voicing his disdain for comments he said were made earlier this year by Arkansas coach Bret Bielema.
Kingsbury had taken exception to comments Bielema made at the Texas high school coaches convention in Houston in July. Kingsbury's Red Raiders beat the Razorbacks 35-24.
Bielema and Kingsbury exchanged a brief handshake following the game.
"They're a program that prides themselves on being physical," Kingsbury said of Arkansas in his postgame press conference. "At the Texas high school coaches convention this summer, (Bielema) sat up and said, 'If you don't play with a fullback, we'll kick your ass.
