LITTLE ROCK — Literally and figuratively, Cole Kelley casts a long shadow over Austin Allen, Ricky Town, Rafe Peavey, and Ty Storey.
For the next few weeks, the on-campus foursome will compete to be the Arkansas quarterback and the 6-foot-7, 257-pound Kelley will be relegated to the background — the out of sight, out of mind effect. But, ardent comments from Arkansas coach Bret Bielema and offensive coordinator Dan Enos, plus the mystery of the unknown, has resulted in a certain fascination with the freshman from Lafayette, La.
Between now and the Red-White game on April 23, media that cover the Razorbacks regularly will see Allen, Town, Peavey, and Storey on the practice field on occasion, including Saturday.
