The former Arkansas pitcher gave up only one earned run on three hits in eight innings of work in the Houston Astros' 7-2 win over the San Diego Padres. He retired 23 of the last 24 batters he faced.
Coming off a no decision in which he allowed two hits in nine scoreless innings, Keuchel earned a win Wednesday, improving him to 3-0 on the season.
The outing also lowered his ERA to 0.73 for 2015. That is the second-lowest in the majors, behind Texas Rangers pitcher Nick Martinez (0.
