Kentucky basketball point guard Lamont Butler will miss game with Arkansas

Kentucky starting point guard Lamont Butler will not play Saturday when the 12th-ranked Wildcats host Arkansas at Rupp Arena.

Butler, a senior transfer from San Diego State, is Kentucky’s second-leading scorer at 13.2 points in 26.7 minutes per game and leads the team with 4.8 assists and 1.9 steals. He also missed the Wildcats’ 78-73 victory at eighth-ranked Tennessee on Tuesday with a shoulder injury.

Kentucky forward Andrew Carr is listed as probable on the SEC’s availability report released Friday night. Carr played 2 minutes against Tennessee with a back injury.

The 6-11 graduate transfer from Wake Forest averages 10.
