Ted Kapita, a 4-star recruit and top 100 prospect in the 2015 class, will not be granted clearance to play for Arkansas basketball during the 2015/16 season.
After learning the NCAA didn’t deem him eligible to play, Kapita will now travel to Ohio to play for the SPIRE Academy in hopes of eventually landing back in Fayetteville the following season.
The 6’9 power forward was coming off an injury in high school, but remained hopeful he’d see significant playing time after the Razorbacks lost Bobby Portis to the NBA and Alandise Harris to graduation. The news came within 12 hours of learning three other Arkansas players (Anton Beard, Jacorey Williams and Dustin Thomas) have been suspended indefinitely.
