Kapita goes pro, won't attend Arkansas

Highly regarded power forward Ted Kapita, who signed with Arkansas in April, has decide to sign to play professional basketball in France. CBS Sports Jon Rothstein first reported the news.

Kapita, 6-9, 222 pounds, played for Huntington Prep in West Virginia this past season. He inked with Razorbacks over numerous scholarship offers from schools that included West Virginia, Memphis, Oregon and Missouri.

When it appeared he might not be cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center. Kapita committed to Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio in July with hopes of enrolling at Arkansas in January or in the summer.
