Former Arkansas running back Jonathan Williams has found a new home in the NFL.
The Detroit Lions announced Monday that they have signed Williams, who played for the Razorbacks from 2012-15. Contract terms were not disclosed.
The Lions’ running backs group includes three other former SEC players in D’Andre Swift (Georgia), Bo Scarbrough (Alabama) and Kerryon Johnson (Auburn).
A fifth-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in the 2016 NFL Draft, Williams also spent time with the New Orleans Saints in 2018 and the Indianapolis Colts in 2019. He has rushed for 329 yards and a pair of touchdowns in 23 career games, including one start.
