Jonas Aidoo returning to No. 1 Tennessee for Arkansas basketball's SEC opener

FAYETTEVILLE — Jonas Aidoo burst onto the scene as one of the SEC's most improved men's basketball players last season.

The big man, who was then with Tennessee and is now with Arkansas, earned All-SEC second team and became an interior force for the Volunteers. Tennessee advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, where it fell to eventual national runner-up Purdue.

Aidoo's stats gradually improved, which made him one of the country's most coveted names when he entered the NCAA transfer portal after the season.

“He’s phenomenal. He keeps getting better,” former Arkansas coach Eric Musselman said after Aidoo scored 23 points in a 92-63 win over Arkansas on Feb.
