Johnell Davis probable for Arkansas basketball's SEC opener at Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Arkansas guard Johnell Davis was listed on the SEC basketball player availability report Friday as probable for the team's conference opener Saturday at No. 1 Tennessee.

Davis missed the Razorbacks' previous two games — victories over North Carolina A&T and Oakland — due to wrist soreness. He had started every regular-season game prior. Davis had a wrist injury in the preseason but did not miss any games before Dec. 21.

Associate head coach Kenny Payne said Thursday that Davis has been in practice and has been getting better.

“He's been practicing,” Payne said.
