FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas basketball coach John Calipari said his team is preparing to possibly be without Adou Thiero against Texas on Wednesday.
Calipari made his comments during the weekly “Live With Coach Cal” radio show Monday at Sassy’s Barbeque and Grille in Fayetteville.
Thiero, the team’s leading scorer averaging 15.6 points per game, left with back soreness late in the second half of last Saturday’s 92-85 victory over No. 14 Missouri.
“We're trying to figure out if he's going to be able to play or not,” Calipari said. “Without him…it's kind of like if you remember we lost [freshman guard Boogie Fland with thumb surgery in January], and had two days to prepare for Georgia.
