FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long has been named the 2015 SportsBusiness Journal and SportsBusiness Daily Athletic Director of the Year. Long was announced and recognized at the 2015 Sports Business Awards at the New York Marriott Marquis at Times Square in New York City on Wednesday night.
In March, Long was named as a finalist for the award recognizing the most outstanding athletic director in the nation. On Wednesday, Long was selected for the award from a group of finalists including Mitch Barnhart (Kentucky), Ian McCaw (Baylor) and Dan Radakovich (Clemson).
