FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas guard JD Notae was awarded SEC player of the week on Monday.
Notae, the Razorbacks’ senior guard, starred in victories over Florida and then-No. 6 Kentucky last week, averaging 26.0 points, 5.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds. The 52 points scored are his most in a two-game span since the 2018-19 season while at Jacksonville (Fla.) University.
Notae finished with 22 points in the Razorbacks’ first win over the Gators in Gainesville, Fla., since 1995, then scored 30 points and had 8 assists against the Wildcats last Saturday.
He became the first SEC player with 30 points and 8 assists against an Associated Press top-10 team in the last 25 seasons.
