Izzy Higginbottom scores 36, Arkansas women's basketball wins in final seconds at Auburn

The smallest player on the court made the biggest impact Thursday night at Neville Arena in Auburn, Ala.

Izzy Higginbottom, a 5-7 guard for the Arkansas women’s basketball team, made a game-winning free throw with 2.4 seconds left to cap a 36-point performance, and the Razorbacks erased a 14-point deficit to defeat Auburn 59-58.

Arkansas (8-10, 1-2 SEC) snapped a two-game losing streak and won an SEC road game for the first time since last January at Missouri. The Razorbacks improved to 9-2 against Auburn under eighth-year coach Mike Neighbors.

Higginbottom, a senior from Batesville, became the fourth Arkansas player to score 30 or more points against Auburn since 2019.
