FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas women’s basketball guard Izzy Higginbottom was one of 50 players named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award midseason watch list announced Monday.
The award is presented by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association each season to the women’s college basketball player of the year.
Higginbottom leads the SEC and ranks fifth nationally averaging 23.6 points per game. She has scored at least 20 points in 16 games, including a career-high 38 in a 75-64 victory over Boston College on Dec. 5.
With 8 regular-season games remaining, the 5-7 Batesville native is on pace to set multiple Arkansas program records.
