FAYETTEVILLE — With her hair drenched in water, Izzy Higginbottom made her way across the court to greet a small group of fans Thursday night at Bud Walton Arena.
Fresh off a career-high 38 points that led Arkansas women’s basketball to a 75-64 comeback victory over Boston College, the 5-7 guard had been doused with water by her teammates.
Her performance deserved it. It was one for the record books.
“It's probably not going to be her last one,” Arkansas coach Mike Neighbors said. “Because we need her to have the ball in her hands a lot.
