It Seems Weather, ULM Have Conspired to Delay The Inevitable vs Arkansas

Arkansas nearly made quick work of its midweek series-opener against ULM on Tuesday afternoon. Instead, it’ll have to wait another day.

On the verge of invoking the mercy rule twice in the seventh inning, a lightning delay turned into a postponement because hail and rain created unplayable field conditions. The No. 3 Razorbacks will now have to try to put the finishing touches on the win when play resumes at 2 p.m. CT Wednesday.

It is likely a case of delaying the inevitable, though, because Arkansas leads 10-1 and has runners on the corners with no outs.
